The meaning of the word "chingu". Cooking sweet potatoes

Hey everyone, it's Brad here! I'm going to teach you a new word today.

The Korean word is 친구 (chingu) which means friend. Fipa and I have been using this word lots since we've been in Korea, because we've got to meet so many different people and make so many new friends! But now, let me tell you what Fipa and I have been up to! Yesterday we showed the 100 children from Seoul the Sum Goot Gwi's (a old traditional way to cook sweet potato) after we finished them, we went and had a huge lunch that was delicious!

After we finished lunch, the children had to go back to Seoul so a few teachers, Fipa and myself waved the children goodbye. Once they left Hook Guem Sem (a teacher in handemy) and myself went to feed the hungry pigs. They sure do drink and eat a lot! After feeding the pigs, Hook Guem and Fipa and myself had to move some blankets back to the Jim Jil Bahng (where the children from Handemy sleep).

Today though Fipa and I had to morning off, and so did Hae Ryun (another teacher in Handemy) so Hae Ryun taught Fipa and myself a little bit on piano. After lunch, Fipa and I had a walk around the village, to see if we could find any other things around Handemy, and saw a house that's been being built and is almost finished. The house just needs some doors and then some flooring and it will be finished! But now the children have come back from school and are going for a swim, so I think Fipa and I are going to join them, so Fipa and I will write to you all again soon, bye for now!
